Personal Life

My wife, Terry, and I have been married for 44 years. We are 32-year residents of Grayson County, moving here in 1981. We believed this would be a great place to raise our sons. History has proven us right. Both sons, Jamie & Brad, attended Sherman schools and graduated from SHS. After living in Sherman for over 21 years we moved in 2002 to Whitesboro where we have lived for 11 years. Terry’s parents, Bob and Mary Lou Perryman, joined us in Texas in 2004 and reside east of Collinsville.

· Jamie is married to the former Missy Kirby of Sherman. They reside in Melissa, TX, where they are raising 3 of our grandchildren ages 9, 7, and 5. Jamie works as Materials Program Manager for Space & Airborne Programs for Raytheon in McKinney & Plano, TX.

· Brad is married to the former Kathleen Northey of Scottsdale, AZ, whom he met in law school. Brad and Kathleen reside in the Denver area where they are raising the other 3 of our grandchildren ages 5, 3, and 8 months. Brad is a banking and finance attorney.

We currently attend FBC-Whitesboro and have spent 44 years actively supporting our local church, wherever we live, with our tithes and with our attendance. Terry is the musician; singing in the choir, playing in the orchestra and/or playing piano specials. Jim’s areas of service include Deacon, Sunday School teacher, Treasurer, Personnel Chairman, Finance Chairman and as a member of numerous other committees.

I consistently supported the United Way of Grayson County with my “Fair Share” through payroll deduction during my employment with TI and Raytheon.

We are RRR supporters of the Grayson County Republican Party and Terry serves as Precinct Chair in our voting precinct, #306.
